This year, though, was different. We turned our home into a mini Pinewood, and began working with creatives for whom film and photography offered a new way to reach a locked down audience. One of the most fruitful of these collaborations was with florist Lucy Vail. While Lucy was exploring new ways to adapt her extrovert style for the needs of an introvert world, our studio and gardens proved the perfect setting. As spring’s tulips gave way to summer’s delphiniums, we found our socially distanced lives keeping time with the rhythms of nature. A four season partnership that turned our lockdown workplace into a floral paradise.
